Set up tracking parameters with Automatic Tracking Updater Tool

A tracking parameter is a code added to a URL that helps track the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and content. To ensure our Magic Attribution works properly, you will need to update your active campaign tracking parameters.

Here is how to use the Automatic Tracking Updater Tool to automatically update your tracking parameters.

1. Set up your tracking settings

Navigate to Settings > Tracking Settings located at the lower left of the dashboard.

  • If you have not done so already, connect your ad platform to sync your campaign data.

  • You can connect your ad platforms by clicking on the "Integrations" tab in Settings.

2. Update your tracking parameters

After connecting your ad platforms, you may see your tracking settings dashboard with wrong setup or missing tracking errors.

You will need to update your campaign parameters to fix these errors. We offer two ways to update your tracking:

  1. Manually update your campaigns in their respective platforms

    Please use the recommended UTM tracking parameters listed below for all your current and future marketing campaigns.

  2. Use our automatic tracking updater tool in the WorkMagic platform

    Our automatic tracking updater tool is a quick way to update your campaign tracking parameters.

    1. Navigate to "Settings" > "Tracking Settings" located at the lower left of the dashboard.

    2. Click "Update all" to automatically update all of your campaign tracking parameters.

Tip: Don't want to update all at once? You can choose to update specific campaigns by clicking the "view details" button.

Integration Notes:

  1. The automatic tracking updater tool currently works with Meta Ads, Google Ads, TikTok Ads, and Snapchat Ads.

  3. Google campaign: Our tracking tool allows you to update all types of Google campaigns except for video campaign. Google does not support updating this kind of campaign via API. This has to be done manually due to their API limitations.
