Checking Lift Test Eligibility Status

WorkMagic’s Lift Test helps you scientifically measure the incremental impact of your marketing campaigns. Before setting up a lift test, your account must meet certain eligibility requirements. This article explains what those requirements are and how to resolve common ineligibility issues.

Normal state when eligible for lift test

For enterprise accounts, WorkMagic automates the eligibility process:

  • Once you connect your Shopify account for the first time, WorkMagic will:

    • Automatically calculate and select Geo Pairings that meet statistical requirements.

    • Display eligible geo pairs for each connected ad channel.

    • Update geo pair availability through regular background jobs.

  • Each time a new ad channel is connected, WorkMagic:

    • Instantly triggers a recalculation of available geo pairings for that channel.

Account-Level Ineligibility

You may see an ineligibility message for one of the following reasons:

1. Primary sales channel is Not Connected

Message:

You are currently ineligible for lift test. Connect your primary sales channel to unlock Lift Test. Contact us if you need any further support.

How to fix it:

  • Go to Integrations

  • Connect your Shopify account or Custom-built website.

Note:

If your Shopify account got disconnected, the pop up banner will be shown and asking for reconnection.

2. Order Volume is too small

Message:

You are currently ineligible for lift test. We detect that your order volume doesn't meet the requirements to launch a Lift Test. Contact us if you need any further support.

Requirements:

  1. Must have order data every day in the past 180 days.

  2. The average daily order is more than 120 in the last 30 days.

3. Data Synchronization or Geo-Pairing in Progress

Message:

We are still preparing data for lift test design, which might take up to 48 hours. Please check back later to see if you are eligible for Lift Test.

How to fix it:

  • No action needed. Please return later once data preparation is complete.

Channel-Level Ineligibility

If your account is eligible but certain ad channels do not have geo-pairs that meet statistical significance, you will see a reminder during lift test creation.

During Geo-Pairing Step

Reminder shown:

We found that your ad spending is currently too small to yield a statistically significant result. Please contact our Data Science team for assistance.

What you can do:

  • Proceed to the next step with a warning (Risky to proceed)

  • Recommended to contact WorkMagic DS team.

You will see this reminder again in a confirmation pop-up before moving forward.

Holdout Setup Permission Issues

You may encounter permission-related warnings when setting up holdouts for your ad platforms.

❗ We have removed permission checks on Meta Ads as it triggers the re-learning phase. You may still see the warning on other channels.

Example message:

You do not have full access control to (account 1) and (account 2). Please contact the business manager admin of these accounts to grant you full permission if you still want to run the test with them.

How to fix it:

  • Ask the admin of the accounts to give you full access

  • Return to the Holdout Setup screen and refresh the data
