About Data Refresh in WorkMagic

Updated this week

WorkMagic automatically updates your advertising, sales, attribution, and survey data on a scheduled basis. To help you understand exactly how fresh your data is, every analytics page shows both the latest processing time and a full breakdown of update times per platform.

This ensures you always know whether your insights and reports are based on the latest available information.

1. Where Data Refresh Applies?

The data refresh system is consistent across the following pages:

  • Overview

  • Channel Attribution

  • Creative Insights

  • Audience Insights

  • Custom Dashboard

Each page displays:

  • A Last processed timestamp

  • An estimated next processing time

  • A clickable Details link that opens the full breakdown of data update times

2. How long does the data refresh frequency?

Hourly Mode

By default, the data refreshes automatically on an hourly basis. You can check the timestamp at the top right corner of the platform to see when the latest update occurred.

Daily Mode

When you switch to Daily mode, the time stamp and data refresh frequency is different from the Hourly mode. The data refreshes automatically every 12 hours period in Daily mode.

  • Western US: 00:00 and 12:00

  • Eastern US: 03:00 and 15:00

3. Is there any way we can force refresh the data?

Yes, you can manually refresh the data by clicking the "Refresh" button, located in the top right corner below your account name.

4. I clicked the "Refresh" button, but the timestamp is not updated realtime?

Yes this is expected behavior. Under Hourly Mode, data updates once per hour. For example, if the last update was at 00:02, the timestamp will remain at 00:02 for the rest of that hour, even if you refresh the page multiple times. The next update will occur at the beginning of the next hourly cycle.

5. Data Update Time Details

Clicking Details beside the timestamp opens a panel showing exactly when WorkMagic last received data from each connected platform.

  • Last Retrieved shows the last time when WorkMagic pulled the raw data from the platform.

  • Last Processed shows the timestamp when WorkMagic finished processing and calibrating the retrieved data for attribution
